We are ZorgDomein
How can you continually improve healthcare in the Netherlands? How do you make extra time and space for patients, and give them more attention? These are the sort of questions that are central to our work at ZorgDomein. We develop smart technology to create more room for human work in healthcare. That’s how we help healthcare professionals such as family doctors, physiotherapists and lab technicians to do what they do best: give patients the best possible healthcare. We have been doing just that for 25 years.
Established name with ambition
Did you know that nearly all referrals and diagnostic requests are channelled through our platform? In fact, in 2024 our platform was used nearly 24 million times to refer or request research for patients. ZorgDomein is an established name in the Netherlands, but for us the adventure has only just begun. Our healthy ambition is to ensure even better coordination of supply and demand in the healthcare sector. With a user-friendly, high-tech platform and digital solutions. And by building lasting relationships with healthcare professionals. There’s plenty of work to be done at ZorgDomein and we could use your help in it.
Your role at ZorgDomein
ZorgDomein is using technology to reduce administrative load in healthcare so that there is more time for actual contacts with patients. Every day, we help over 100.000 healthcare professionals to find the best possible care for their patients through the ZorgDomein platform. In particular, more than 91% of general practitioners in the Netherlands use ZorgDomein to find the right follow-up care for their patients from a wide range of healthcare providers. In the process of helping our users, we are increasingly using smart data solutions to help our users find the right care more quickly.
As a data engineer at ZorgDomein, you bring models and algorithms into production that underpin the searching, finding, and comparing of the more than 115.000 healthcare products on our platform. Together with our product teams, you explore and test solutions for user problems.
You then help design, develop, implement, improve, and manage the data products that meet these user needs. An example of such a data product is the sorting of healthcare products on the offering screen.
